Reviews and Ratings
Being on the ground floor as requested was a plus, but the noise from the A629 was quite bothersome, especially during the hottest week of the year. The hotel staff, especially 'Jess,' were very helpful and friendly, even organizing taxis for us. The location was pretty good, with convenient access to local places of interest and a bus service into Huddersfield every 10 minutes. The dining experience was great with tasty food made from locally sourced produce, but it ended a bit early at 9.00. The rooms were somewhat noisy due to late-night activity, which can be expected during peak times, although opening the window made the A629 noise more noticeable throughout the night.
The hotel seemed to have had a recent makeover and the shower looked good, but it was overpriced for a 3-star hotel at £137.50. The room temperature was uncomfortably high at around 30 degrees when trying to sleep.
